Hi, I’m Julia, the heart behind WildlyWell.

My journey into wellness started long before this space was born. I began my nursing career in hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant, where I witnessed both the strength and vulnerability of the human body every day. Working with patients facing cancer taught me not only about the power of modern medicine, but also about the importance of balance, and how holistic approaches can support healing. It was there that I truly learned about resilience, compassion, and the human spirit.

That experience inspired me to look deeper into what contributes to illness, from lifestyle habits to environmental exposures, stress, diet, and even our professions. I became fascinated with prevention, and with understanding how we can take care of our bodies now to live fuller, healthier lives later.

Today, I’m a surgical and trauma ICU nurse at a Level 1 trauma center in New York City. I know firsthand how long hours, stress, and exhaustion can wear you down, and I’ve learned how vital it is to find the things that make you feel good so you can care for yourself, and for others.

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15, but it wasn’t until I was 22 that I decided to completely reshape how I approached my health. Instead of fighting my body, I made it my mission to understand it. I dove into the research, learned what my body needed to function and menstruate properly, and began living in alignment with my cycle physically, mentally, and emotionally. Two years later, at 24, I became certified in Nutrition and Healthy Living through Cornell University. While I’m not a registered dietitian, my approach blends evidence-based knowledge with a deep respect for the mind-body connection. I love helping other women who, like me, are learning to feel in tune with their bodies again.

Now, as I work toward my Family Nurse Practitioner degree and pursue my certification as a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor, I’m continuing to expand my understanding of the body, how it moves, heals, and thrives.

Outside of work and study, you’ll find me testing new wellness products, cooking up homemade bone broth, experimenting with electrolytes, or sharing my latest health discovery with anyone who will listen. I firmly believe that knowledge is power, and that when we share it, we all live a little more WildlyWell.

Hello, I’m John, I work behind the scenes at WildlyWell. From writing blogs, to posting content, I try to blend Julia’s wealth of knowledge of health and wellness, with my experience as a professional athlete; to create a space for you who want to improve your health and live better. My approach is simple; small changes can make a big impact on your health, being consistent and intentional with your habits will always bring results!

Playing years of high level sports has gifted me with a deep understanding of the body’s connection to activity, nutrition, and mental health. Exposure to nutritionists, strength and conditioning coaches, athletic trainers, and psychologists allowed me to develop an acute bodily awareness. Learning their different philosophies has helped me fine-tune my understanding of the mind–body connection.

I’m not here to preach or pretend I have it all figured out. I’m here to share what I’ve learned, keep things real, and hopefully make your health journey a little clearer and a lot more doable. I’ve seen how small, intentional habits can create big shifts, physically, mentally, and emotionally, and that’s the kind of change I want to help you experience.

At WildlyWell, my goal is to make wellness feel accessible, supportive, and even a little fun. If I can help you build a better connection with your body and feel more confident in your daily choices, then I’m doing what I came here to do. Thanks for being here, you’re the reason we create this space.
